In the past, as a player, Bautista has made surprise visits to sick kids at the SickKids Children’s Hospital in Toronto to make them feel special, but this time he’s doing it to make an impact on all children and the future of the hospital going forward.
Bautista, a dad of four, is known for his unwavering commitment to children and youth.
That’s why he’s partnered with Canada’s #1 publicly-funded children’s hospital in a dedicated effort to create meaningful, measurable impact for the next generation.
The
Bautista Impact Fund in partnership with SickKids will supply critical support to the hospital in areas where it’s needed most.
SickKids Children’s Hospital made the following announcement about their partnership with Bautista
We’re so excited to announce our new partnership with baseball icon and Toronto legend José Bautista through the launch of The Bautista Impact Fund, a donor-advised fund dedicated to supporting the highest priority needs at Sick Kids Toronto. The Bautista Impact Fund is a testament to José’s enduring dedication to supporting children and youth and marks a significant milestone in SickKids’ ongoing journey to support pediatric health care. We can’t wait to flip some bats together! Thank you, José! 💙
Bautista made the following statement to the media following the announcement.
«SickKids is a place of hope, healing and innovation for families everywhere. As a father of four, I feel deeply connected to its mission and honored to play a role in making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families around the world. This fund is about giving back and helping to build a healthier future for generations to come.»

Bautista going to bat for sick kids is a grand slam for the hospital and the future of pediatric healthcare in Toronto.
