
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cleveland Guardians officially announced the following moves ahead of Friday’s non-tender deadline.
Cleveland avoided arbitration with and signed the following players to 2026 Major League contracts: right-handed pitcher Matt Festa, outfielder Nolan Jones, and utlity man David Fry.
Zack Meisel of The Athletic is reporting that Jones will earn $2 million, while Fry’s deal will pay him $1.375 million. Festa will earn $1 million in 2026.
The Guardians also non-tendered outfielder Will Brennan, right-handed pitcher Nic Enright and left-handed pitcher Sam Hentges. All three of them are now free agents.
In addition, the team also tendered 2026 Major League contracts to the remaining 32 unsigned arbitration-eligible and pre-arbitration players on the club’s 40-man roster, which now stands at 38 players.
