Atlanta Dream forward Cheyenne Parker-Tyus will miss the rest of the season with a left ankle injury, according to the team.
Parker-Tyus suffered the injury during a win against the Connecticut Sun on Aug. 18 and has not played since. She was a key part of the team’s depth this season, stepping up when forward Rhyne Howard went out with an injury just before the Olympic break. Parker-Tyus has split most of the minutes at the forward position with Naz Hillmon.

The Dream are in a dogfight for the final spot in the WNBA playoffs. They currently have an 11-22 record, tied with the Chicago Sky for the final spot. The Washington Mystics aren’t too far behind with an 11-23 record.
The Dream have seven games remaining in the regular season, including two against Washington and one against Chicago. They will also play the league-leading New York Liberty, the Caitlin Clark-led Indiana Fever, the Dallas Wings and the third-seeded Minnesota Lynx.
