Angel Reese’s WNBA season might be over, but the Bayou Barbie continues to intrigue fans with her innovative antics on social media. Chanel handbags are mostly used by celebrities and models to show off their style and fashion sense. But Reese has been using them to hide her left hand.
The Chicago Sky Center recently had surgery for her season-ending wrist injury. As a result, the 22-year-old has a hard cast put on her wrist. However, she couldn’t let the cast ruin her otherwise perfect fit. So, she has found the fanciest way to cover it up.
In her recent Instagram pictures, she was seen with different Chanel bags covering her left wrist.
After noticing a pattern in her photos, a fan wrote, “Angel hiding that cast like s pregnancy.” Reese reposted the fan’s comment and wrote, “hiding my hand with a chanel is my new thing.”
Reese informed her fans via TikTok that the hard cast will be there for four weeks and that it’ll be replaced by a soft cast for another two weeks.
She said, “Basically, the doctors told me that I could either not get surgery or have surgery. The risk of not having surgery…I could literally have arthritis at 22 years old. That wasn’t an option. The bone could literally crack and completely shatter. Right now, it’s like a hairline… They’re going to put a small screw in it. And I wasn’t going for it getting any bigger.”
The star rookie’s injury resulted in the Sky losing out on a playoff berth. The one positive thing in this is that Reese will get ample time in the offseason to nurse herself back to 100% fitness. In the meantime, the Bayou Barbie will continue to flaunt her fashion and accessory choices.

In the pictures that were posted recently where she was seen covering her cast, Reese had two Chanel bags that are incredibly popular and just as expensive.
She had one ‘Calfskin & Silver-Tone Metal Red Large Bowling Bag’ that retails for $6100. Her other bag, a ‘Classic 11.12 Handbag’ in ‘Lambskin & Gold-Tone Metal Black’ cost a little over $10k. This bag has been a trusted favorite for the rookie as she has been seen carrying the same on other occasions as well.
She was also seen sporting the CHANEL 20S Pink Caviar Small Vanity Case GHW.
Reese bragged about her Chanel collection in a TikTok video earlier this year. She said, “So, open my new Chanel bag with me. Life has been good; life has been slaying, so…It’s like my 7th, 8th, 9th? 8th Chanel bag.”
The Sky rookie always pulls up to games in style. And even when she’s recovering from a wrist injury, she is setting major fashion goals.
