Bo Bichette emerges as a potential fit for the World Series champion Dodgers. lt

The Toronto Blue Jays have been one of the most active MLB teams this offseason and the organization likely still has a few more moves to make before the start of the 2026 season.

One of the biggest question marks surrounding the best of the American League is whether the front office will re-sign superstar Bo Bichette in free agency.

Bichette is expected to command a considerable contract this winter, and he is one of the many big names remaining on the market.

While it’s unclear where he will land, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been listed as a potential fit for the Blue Jays’ superstar. MLB insider Mark Feinsand discussed Bichette’s willingness to move to second base, where he played all seven games of the World Series.

“Bichette looked solid at second base during the World Series, and while it was a small, seven-game sample size, it was enough to convince teams that he can handle the position. Far more clubs are looking for help at second base than shortstop, so Bichette’s willingness to switch positions should bring more teams into play for his services,” Feinsand writes.

“The Blue Jays could move Andrés Giménez to shortstop and play Bichette at second base if he returns, while the Dodgers, Red Sox, Giants, Mariners and Rangers are also potential fits.”

The Dodgers’ infield is mostly set with Freddie Freeman at first, Mookie Betts at shortstop, and Max Muncy at the hot corner. However, the Dodgers haven’t had a true second baseman since Gavin Lux held down the position in 2024.

The Dodgers are reportedly prioritizing defense heading into 2026, which is something Bichette has struggled with recently. Last season, Bichette posted a -13 Outs Above Average, tying J.P. Crawford for last among all shortstops.

Nevertheless, the Dodgers are expected to remain competitive on the free agency market this winter, and it isn’t surprising the defending champions have been linked to Bichette.
