Cameron Brink is getting ready to walk down the aisle!
The Los Angeles Sparks star, 23, is preparing for her upcoming nuptials with fiancé Ben Felter — and so is her Straight to Cam podcast co-host Sydel Curry-Lee (whose brothers are NBA stars Steph and Seth Curry).
“It’s good. It’s so slow,” Brink tells PEOPLE of the planning process, excitedly noting, “The bachelorette [party] is first.”
“It’s going to be fun,” adds Lee, 30, whose parents have been best friends with Brink’s since college.
“I’m actually using Sydel’s wedding planner,” Brink shares of her godsister, who tied the knot with Phoenix Suns player Damion Lee in September 2018. “I loved everything about Sydel’s wedding, so I’m glad that she’s allowing me to copy her,” adds Brink.

Lee, who agreed to join Brink as a co-host on her Wave Sports & Entertainment podcast after the network reached out about launching her own show, tells PEOPLE the Currys and Brinks are “a big party family,” but she’s still getting used to the fact that Brink will be tying the knot.
“It’s going to be really weird though, seeing our little Cam get married, but we’re not new to getting married early,” says Lee. “Basically everyone in our family has gotten married in their early 20s, except for Seth.”

The Curry family is thrilled that Brink “found her person” and they’re excited “to celebrate and support them throughout their marriage.”
Knowing Brink since she was just a kid, Lee shares, “She’s always been really, really silly and goofy, and one of the things we love to talk about is how she always thought she wanted to be an artist.”

Brink “did not want to be an athlete,” says Lee. “Watching her passion for fashion and basketball has been really cool, but she’s always been really down to earth and really fun to be around.”
“We had that sisterly bond, for sure,” Brink chimes in, recalling “trying to copy the dances” Lee would learn with her cousins. “You would all do Beyoncé dances,” Brink says, “and honestly that’s a super early memory for me.”
The ladies have been enjoying expressing themselves through their new podcast, and they tell PEOPLE that one of their favorite episodes featured Special Forces winner Kayla Nicole.
“She’s a breath of fresh air,” Brink says of Nicole. “I feel like, honestly, people need to get off that girl’s back because she’s a stud, and it really bothers me, you know, people don’t see her for the talented human she is.”
Lee says Brink “manifested” Nicole’s appearance on their podcast, as well as this week’s new episode with NLE Choppa. “All of our guests have been amazing,” says Lee. “We’re so grateful they took the time out of their busy lives to come and yap with us. And they’ve been really great conversations and I’ve loved getting to know all of our guests.”
