It has been a special year for Pennsylvania native Trey Yesavage. The former Boyertown Area High School star not only made his Major League debut with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2025, but he helped the team all the way to the World Series and pitched well once they got there.
The year got even better for Yesavage late last week as he and his girlfriend Taylor Frick made a major announcement, sharing that they are engaged.
The two posted pictures of Yesavage on one knee proposing to Frick, with the caption: “In this lifetime & the next, it will always be you.”
Trey Yesavage and Taylor Frick have been dating since he was starring for East Carolina University.
Yesavage struck out a Blue Jays debut record nine batters against the Tampa Bay Rays back in September and continued to pitch well throughout the regular season and postseason.
He got the start for Toronto in Game 1 of the World Series and allowed 2 runs in 4 innings as the Blue Jays earned an 11-4 win.
Yesavage then allowed only 1 run in 7 innings of work in Game 5 of the World Series as Toronto took a 3-2 series lead, before dropping the final two games of the World Series at home.

The 22-year-old heads into the 2026 season as one of the top young pitchers in baseball.
The former East Carolina University ace started this season in Single-A for the Dunedin Blue Jays, before working his way up through the minors.
After stops at Vancouver (A+), New Hampshire (AA) and Buffalo (AAA) he made his major league debut in September and was a difference-maker for Toronto from that point forward.
