The pride of Belgium. Belgian Cat Julie Allemand is being welcomed to the Los Angeles Sparks. The 27-year-old point guard will play for the WNBA team in 2024, the team confirmed on its website.

This will be Allemand’s third adventure in the United States. In 2020, she played for the Indiana Fever, and two years later, she was on the payroll of the Chicago Sky. Last season, Allemand did not play in the American basketball league because she prioritized the Belgian Cats and the European Championship.

“Julie is a fantastic addition to our Sparks family. She is an internationally respected point guard with WNBA experience,” says coach Curt Miller on the LA Sparks website. “She is a great general on the court and makes everyone around her play better.”
