The Padres added some bullpen depth on Thursday, signing right-hander Ty Adcock to a one-year deal.
The 28-year-old Adcock has appeared in 18 big-league games with the Mariners and Mets. He spent most of the 2025 season at Triple-A Syracuse, where he pitched to a 4.66 ERA and 1.97 opponents’ batting average. He was dominant near the end of the season, pitching six consecutive scoreless (and hitless) outings while facing just two batters above the minimum.
An eighth-round pick of Seattle out of Elon University in 2019, Adcock made his big-league debut with the club in 2023. He did not allow a walk in any of his 12 appearances that season, setting a club record. Detroit claimed Adcock off waivers from the Mariners in April 2024, and the Mets claimed him off waivers from the Tigers five weeks later.

Solidly built at 6 feet and 213 pounds, Adock has pitched to a 2.00 ERA in seven games (9 innings) with the Estrellas of the Dominican Winter League. He has struck out 15 and walked two.
