Australian Ezi Magbegor anchored Seattle’s defense with three blocks as the Storm handed the Opals teammate Alanna Smith‘s Lynx their first loss of the season. Minnesota Lynx (9-1) fell to Seattle Storm (6-4) 94-84 at Climate Pledge Arena on Thursday, June 13, 2025.

Magbegor was +11 in 31 minutes on a blister 6-from-8 from the field, tallying 13 points, eight rebounds to go with her three blocks while Smith was a tough -16 in 37 minutes. She was 6-from-10 from the field for 14 points as well as grabbing six boards, an assist and a steal.

What Happened

The Storm’s superior ball movement was evident in their 30 assists compared to Minnesota’s 25. Seattle also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Lynx 34-26, including eight offensive rebounds that led to valuable second-chance opportunities. This victory improved Seattle’s record to 6-4, solidifying their fifth position in the WNBA standings, while Minnesota suffered their first loss of the season but remained atop the league at 9-1.
