Abroad, the former UConn women’s basketball star has led France to two Olympic medals, including silver in last year’s Paris Summer Games.
She’s a two-time national champion, a two-time All-American, a two-time EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year, a EuroLeague Final Four MVP and a Europe SuperCup MVP.
And now for the first time in her career, she’s a WNBA All-Star.
“It’s crazy, it’s her first one, so crazy,” said Napheesa Collier, Williams’ former UConn teammate. “But I’m happy for her. I love Gabby. She’s an amazing player, and her development from rookie year to now, like, she has had such an incredible development. So, I’m really proud of all the work that she’s put in.”

Williams is off to a career start to the 2025 WNBA season, averaging career highs in points (13.2), assists (4.4) and steals per game. Her 2.4 steals per game lead the league halfway through the season.
